QUALITY OF ACTIVATION PROCESS

Properties of the carbonized product will be different depending on the nature of the raw material and the quality of the activation process. Coal, coconut shell and wood could be used as primary materials to manufacture activated carbon.

However, in Effigen, only coconut shell is used to produce activated carbons, which not only has a higher volatile content that produces hard granulated carbon with even and large pore volume. It also has higher density than wood or coal, making it more effective for decontamination and purification.
